Due to the impacts of Hurricane Helene, significant closures are in effect along I-26 and I-40 across both North Carolina and Tennessee. The NCDOT is urging motorists to avoid traveling through western NC, and further closures are expected along major and alternate routes. Truck drivers currently in the area or planning to move through Tennessee and North Carolina should prepare for substantial disruptions.

Helene’s path has brought widespread destruction across the southeastern U.S., causing catastrophic flooding, highway collapses, and tornadic activity.
