TEL Supports A Hand Up Ministry with Recent Donation

We have donated $5,675 to support the work of A Hand Up Ministry, which helps men and women get “back on their feet” after incarceration, alcohol addiction or drug abuse, said Jeff Berger, chief information officer for TEL.

The faith-based charity primarily serves the tri-state area of Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama. It works in conjunction with Freedom Celebrate Recovery in Trenton, GA, to offer a number of services including a residential recovery program, parenting classes, financial planning assistance, life skills instruction and Hope House Café and Gift Shop, which provide job training and support for women in the residential program.

Rex Mayo, founder and director of the charity, said, “Thank you TEL for partnering with us to give broken, hopeless people in our community a hand up to a better life! You are making a difference!”
