Jud’s appointment marked an important milestone for TEL. The CEO role was previously held by Doug Carmichael, who co‑founded TEL alongside Jud more than 22 years ago and passed away in 2024. Together, they built TEL on a foundation of trust, strong values, and long‑term partnerships.
As CEO, Jud will continue leading TEL’s growth and evolution. While TEL’s core strength remains Class 8 truck and semi‑trailer leasing, sales, and remarketing, the company has expanded to provide financing for a broader range of equipment serving transportation, logistics, construction, and other industries.
This growth includes strategic investments such as the development of TEL’s new facility in Palmer, Texas, which will strengthen service and inventory access for customers across the Southwestern United States.
Jud will continue serving as President while guiding TEL’s long‑term vision, with a focus on innovation, customer profitability, and staying true to the values that have defined the company since its founding.
